Look up the word prodigal in the dictionary and you will see a picture of me. I have wanted a lot of things from life but thought it would be given to me much like an inheritance would be. Not that I deserve it but that I was just Fortunate or LUCKY. I have wasted a lot of my life chasing frivolous adventures only to find it's a big waste of precious time. If I can just sit at God's feet and eat crumbs from His table, I will be happy!

I never felt the true joy of giving until I gave someone the word of God and they wrote it upon their heart.

I have returned to the worship of God and realize what really bad shape I was in before. I tremble to think of the sinful life I have led and that it could have ended at any time. One accident, One fall off a roof, One bad oyster, One jealous husband, and I would have to face God unprepared.

Are you ready to return to the Father and ask for forgiveness just as the Prodigal son did?

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. . . . Luke 15:7

Will you seek Him and His kingdom?

And He said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. Luke 15:11-24

This is a terrific story that Jesus told His disciples and followers. He wants us to know that God and the angels rejoice over every one who turns away from his sinful way of life and commits to follow Jesus Christ. How all of us have done the same thing as the man's son. We want a big screen TV, a shiny new car, jewelry, popularity, power, fame, and we want it all right now! How hard is it to quit acting so high and mighty, to give up the sin you love so much, . to say 'I'm sorry'

The parable continues when the elder son sees all the joyous party going on and asks why the father was making such a fuss over his no good lazy brother who had just squandered half of the fathers fortune. The father says to him, "Son you are ever with me and all that I have is yours. but it was right for us to be joyous on this occasion when your brother was dead and is now alive, He was lost and is found." Luke 15:31-32

Just think of that for a moment. You have a son and he has become so debase that you consider him dead. Then imagine him doing a complete turnaround so that you can rejoice because he is once again alive. Having a son that has turned his life over to Jesus Christ, to seek His will and His righteousness is one of the greatest thrills of my life. I know that the angels are rejoicing in heaven for that.Consider this: Do you have a son? Would you want him to be where your at? How about your Dad? Would he weep with JOY if you were to say to Him, Dad,

I have decided to follow Jesus!

There is one God, Who has always existed and always will. I believe that He has manifest Himself as three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (1John 5:7)

God the Father is Creator of heaven and earth through His Son Jesus Christ and He did it in 6 literal days. He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (John 1:3)

Jesus Christ is Gods only begotten son, born of a virgin, sinless in His life, and sacrificed for the sins of the world by His death on the cross and bodily resurrection, He ascended into heaven and as High Priest, intercedes for His people. He will return to the world at the end of the Great Tribulation, according to His promise. (Matt 1:23)(Matt 28:6)(Matt 24:29-30)

The Holy Spirit came to convict the world of sin, to draw a person to God and to comfort and teach those who put their trust in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation. (John 16:8)

Man is a sinful by nature and separated from God by that sin. There is salvation through none other than Jesus Christ. Those who accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord shall see the kingdom of God. (Rom 3:23) The Bible is inspired by God and written by the true followers of God. (2Tim 3:10)
