What does the Bible say about grace?

For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8

The dictionary says grace is: the unmerited forgiveness and love of God. In Ephesians 2:1 it says YOU hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins. the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them John 5:21

God to be the Judge of quick and dead. . Acts 10:42

Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead 2 Timothy 4:11

We see here several lessons:
1.you are quickened (made alive) by Jesus even thou you are dead by sin.
2.Jesus and God are the same. AND 3.grace is a gift from God to you!

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by Faith. . Ephesians 3:17

Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Ep 6:16

What is Faith?

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen . Hebrews 11:1

. . faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. . Romans 10:17

Jesus talked about two totally different people concerning faith. One was faithless, perverse and others had faith which He likened to wisdom, goodness and caused them to be healed. He said "Have faith in God and you can tell this mountain to throw itself into the sea and it will be done."

He said: well done thou good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:21

And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

Chapter 1

You have an inheritance with Christ!

You are an adopted son (or daughter) of Jesus, a joint heir to the throne, with power, redemption and life. He has chosen us from the foundation of the world. We cannot earn that status. It cannot be bought. it has already been bought with the blood of Christ. You have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in knowledge of Him.

Chapter 2

We are brought close to God by Christ and drawn by the Holy Spirit. We have a togetherness in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. A fellowship with the saints of God.

Chapter 3

We have the privilege of sharing in the Spirit and knowledge of the Gospel and have Christ dwell in our hearts.
Think of the depth, the width, the breadth and the length of the love of Christ. Who can comprehend it.

Chapter 4

We have one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one body, one spirit, one hope, and one life. He carried our sins to Hell and then He ascended unto God to prepare a place for us to live. Don't be blind, hold onto your faith, put off the corruption that others have in their heart, put away all the sins that you used to do as an alien. Don't grieve the Holy Spirit. Be kind to each other.

Chapter 5

By gaining the Holy Spirit we gain so much more in life. Keep a distance from all unclean works, words and thoughts. Don't even speak of unclean things. Build your family even as Christ built you in his family. Here is where we see the vertical alignment. God is the Father, Christ is the Head of the church, Husbands are the spiritual leader of the family, children are to be guided and nurtured by the parents and be subject to them. Husbands give love to your wife as Christ has given to all of us.

Chapter 6

We have a fight in this world that is not physical but is spiritual and against the powers of darkness. Arm yourself with knowledge of the word, be filled with the Holy Spirit, defend yourself with faith and truth knowing that your salvation is covering you. Pray always. Do the will of God and be like Paul an ambassador for God.

Lets take stock of what our riches are:
The book of Ephesians tells us we are "in Christ", redeemed by Him, to trust in Him, sealed by Him, Given access thru Him, Created anew in Christ, growing in Christ, adopted through Christ. We have a heavenly home that will never rust. We have a savior who will never let us down or lose a battle for us. He does not forget his promises. He only asks that we walk worthy of His Name.

Paul closes with: Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen

Dear Holy and Gracious Father, You are the most high and you are able to live without us. But we are not able to live without you and your grace. Strengthen our faith and keep us far from satan. Renew in us the hope of those things promised in your word. Remember us in the final hour of the world and help us endure to the end. Forgive our sins and wash us clean of our transgressions we do unto you and each other. Fill us with your Holy Spirit as we seek to learn your will in our lives and in the world. Let us learn daily from your word and grow in wisdom and spirit. help us overlook our brothers faults and to kindly lift others from their fallen state and strengthen those that show weakness. Thank you for sending your Son that we may live. We pray all in the name of Jesus, Amen.
