The Set Up By Bill Bailey Chapter 9  Conclusion:       Coupled with all the other events and inventions and philosophies foisted upon and created by man, it is no wonder why there are so many divorces and broken families. The rate of suicide has jumped, so has sexual promiscuity, there is more drug use and abuse. People are more isolated from each other due to a busy world. By the lack of cohesiveness of the family, less faith in God in general, and the offer of instant satisfaction, our families are changing their foundational belief systems. Members of a typical extended family may have several very different religious beliefs, a variety of social and moral ideals that they espouse. One person believes in sex before marriage and another sibling may be strictly biblical in moral actions and yet another sibling may be homosexual. One child in a family may be a preacher and another may get one or more abortions.

      Now we have school violence. That is a recent phenomenon, but before that there was a specific time in America where you can see a spike in unwed mothers, poor attendance, increased demand for abortion, alcohol and drug use by teens. The teens are just a result of what we teach or allow. When you hand out condoms, you are saying "Go ahead, make your day". Since that time some school administrators have lamented of the loss of control over kids, or the poor SAT scores. They want morals and principles back in school, but they don't want Christianity. They don't know right from wrong, unlike the Bible. But they don't want the Bible.

      What's so obvious to me is that men have always wanted to devise ways to undermine God and His authority over us. One way is to undermine the written word. By watering down the Bible and changing the text it was compromised. However there is an authentic version available to the discerning student of the Bible. God always offers man two ways to go. He offers the right way, which may be in opposition to the majority, or He offers the easy route, the broad way, which leads to the pit. Satan wants people to be confused about Churches. He knows they will stop going to church because the churches are all so different and they ALL say, "we are the true church that represents God". If many churches teach a lie or false gospel they will not trust in God who is represented by all those churches. In the 1960's church attendance in England was near 50%, now in 2000 it is down to less than 5%. However, Islam is growing.

      What is happening in England will happen to America sooner or later. If Satan can get folks to stop reading the Word (or going to church) because there are too many different Bibles available, then he has won. People who read the Bible on the surface will never notice the differences in Bibles, but if you really study for knowledge, you will soon find the variations between all the versions. I believe the King James Version represents the authentic word as God intended us to have in this day and age.

      There was one creation, not years of soulless men then a recreation with Adam and Eve. One chosen people for His namesake, the Jews, One church, the church of Jesus Christ, one Bible, the King James Bible, One redeemer, Jesus Christ, one way to God, Jesus Christ, one truth, Gods truth, anything else is vanity, One life, either with God or with Satan, One second coming, not a rapture then another coming to dispose of Satan. For thousands of years man has devised a way to fulfill his need to worship someone greater than himself. I believe that need is placed in us by God when we are created in the womb, and it is only satisfied when we submit to His authority and worship, the one who loves us beyond our most fantastic imagination of love.

      Have you ever felt an acute loneliness or feeling of being lost at a moment in time and wondered what it is. Maybe you've felt sadness but did not know what caused it. I think it is the ache we all feel inside due to our separation from God, the feeling that we miss someone or something but can't quite put our finger on it. That is that inherited sin that keeps us outside of the fellowship with God. Knowing Jesus Christ puts back that fullness and satisfies us temporarily until we can be with our Creator, but I think it will only be when we are in His presence that we will feel complete.

      God created man because He wanted to have a fellowship with man. He has demonstrated His love over and over again. The number of times He has reached out to us when we have turned our back on Him is beyond our ability to comprehend. He gave His Son to redeem us from our fallen state of Sin and Death. Those two go hand in hand, and we decided to sin and we strained Gods heart and tested His love. We still continue to hurt Him by bickering between what we call Brothers and Sisters. He has always furnished us with one written word. First in Hebrew, then in Greek, then Latin, then in English. I believe it will be the last Bible given, because the end of the age is at hand. He has given us one life, not two or more. We live part of that life here on earth then eternity in heaven or hell. There is only one truth. That is not open to interpretation, we will not agree to disagree with God. He had the first word. The word Universe means UNI one VERSE sentence. One sentence created our universe. He shall have the last word. AMEN.

      I believe we are living in the last days right now. Most of the prophecies that were foretold have been fulfilled and the end appears near, except for a few things that still shall come to pass. I don't have a clue when the end will happen and I think Satan hasn't a clue either. But like us he knows it is probably soon. That is why, since he is able to transcend many generations, he can cause things to happen by his followers. He has always had a typical antichrist in the position of control. Pharoah, Herod, Nero, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, Moon, Hussein. I believe the deception caused by the corrupt Bibles, the confusion by many Cults and Occult, the enormous number of churches today, the intrusion of the religion of evolution, the various theories and guesses on God, the humanistic, secret organizations, the break-up of the family unit by the Industrial Age are all totaling up to a setting up of mankind for a great fall. God has been removed, in many ways, from our lives, our minds, our hearts and our thoughts. He is systematically being removed from our society by the ACLU. The atheists continue to take Him out of our Constitutional base. He is being replaced in our schools and colleges by evolution. He is being distorted by the many perverse religions around the world, who all claim "We are the way". They are not the way, Jesus is the way. Some say only they have "the truth" They don't have the truth, Jesus is the truth. They all want us to believe they can give life. Jesus is the life with GOD! The Rapture theory is a hammock of spiritual doctrine. I believe that all these things which started long ago have increased by a magnitude of a hundred fold. Satan knows we are near the end and he is going around like a roaring lion seeking to devour whosoever he can.

      This is not the time to be slack about your faith, but the time to build your faith and strengthen your family in the word. Although the time of 1800 to 1900 was a time of great changes and introduction of many corrupt avenues for the deception of mankind, there were and still are a great many Godly people. That century was a setting up for the end times. The next stage was during the 1960's. Early in the 1900's liberal political and social climate grew. Morals were ignored by the "love generation". God, The Ten Commandments, the Bible, prayer and Christianity was kicked out of schools and government. Religion was not separated from government or schools but was replaced by evolutionism or humanism. God was relegated to a part time job.

      The Scopes trial as mentioned earlier was the tip of the preverbal iceberg because many churches accepted the teaching of evolution and subverted the truth of the Bible. I ask you, does America have the most number of Christian colleges and theological seminaries, greatest number of Christian bookstores, greatest number of Christian radio and TV stations and programs, greatest number of Christian preachers and teachers, greatest number of Christian churches and Bible study groups in the world? Then, why is America on the slippery slope of Christian decline? Why are we not increasing the attendance in our churches. I suggest to you that the American public has lost the true Bible, they have lost the truth as taught in the Bible, they have supplanted the Savior for a religion or secular organization, they have taught perverse doctrines and allowed the pagan culture to touch the church rather than the church changing the culture.

      I would not want to be someone who complains about a situation but never offers suggestions on how to restore humanity to a more righteous position. I would not be so arrogant to presume to know how to fix the problems but at least I know someone who does. First of all, man cannot govern himself. It is not within his ability to rule himself or others without some human trait perverting the whole of society. It may be self-agenda, greed, bigotry, pride, or a number of other human weaknesses that will cause the downfall eventually. Man must leave the governing of the world up to God.

  O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. Jer 10:23

      Setting aside, for a moment, the sovereignty of God and His desire to be reconciled with us, lets look at the plain human decisions we can make and actions we can do that will put us on the road of earthly redemption. Don't get confused when I use the term "earthly redemption". We cannot of ourselves do anything about our heavenly redemption. That is totally dependent upon Jesus Christ. That was His purpose in coming to earth as a man, to save those who were lost. What we can do is change the direction in which the world is headed by standing up for our convictions.

      What good are convictions if you will not hold to them judiciously? If you abandon them at the first opposition or are not willing to stand up and defend them, they are just passing thoughts.

      If you could educate the general population on the depravity of some of the so-called "Bibles", and get them interested in the truest rendering of the inspired scriptures, there would not be room for anyone to doubt the deity of Christ, or the only way to salvation, or how old the earth is, or why we need a savior to start with. If people would read the Bible and not infuse other ideas into the Bible, scripture would stand on its own. Let's let scripture interpret scripture. The Bible quite often defines itself and I know Jesus stated things often enough to make it clear. The book of Revelation is not a mystery, it means Revelation, what is revealed. The Gospels mean "Good news". Acts tells us how the apostles "Acted upon their faith". Its a history book of the world, but it explains a lot of mysteries that we are just now starting to understand in science, biology, astronomy, hydrology, oceanography, anthropology, geology. So an accurate Bible is the first step.

      The next step is to stop allowing our children to be indoctrinated with the "religion" of evolution from preschool through college and beyond. Secular humanism says there is no God, which lets everyone make up his or her own mind about what is right or wrong. There used to be a time when people knew what sin was, that marriage was for one man and one woman, homosexuality was wrong, abortion is murder, death is the result of sin, clothes have a moral value. Now with humanism and the denial of God, murder is a choice of caring mothers, homosexuality and gay marriages are lauded as being progressive. What ever you want to do behind closed doors is accepted as being your "rights". Truth is up for sale to the highest bidder whether in court or in business. Theft is getting even for some supposed wrong committed upon you. "Greed is good," said Michael Douglas in a movie a while back. Hate is acceptable if the other guy has skin color different than yours, or if his religion is not like yours. The dividing lines for marriage or secular partnerships should not be between different colors but between believers and non-believers. It's ok for a white to marry a black or a Mexican to marry Chinese, as long as it is one man and one woman for life and they are believers. If they are both non-believers they can marry but are not within the fellowship and sanctification of God in their union but to cross that barrier is asking for trouble. When people do marry across cultures they may have cultural differences and problems of communication and understanding but that can be worked out with love and patience, two virtues that God can supply in abundance.

      Third, there looms on the horizon a black cloud. It is in the form of a small influential group of people and Satan who want a New World Order. They are all of the corrupt religions. They are all of the secret brotherhoods. Some are new-agers, some are theists, some are theosophists, but many different religions are represented. The Luciferians, Buddhists, Taoists, Unitarians, Moonies are all wrong. The Jehovahs Witnesses, the Mormons, the Christ Scientists, the Bahaists are wrong. I don't know how else to say it. We cannot all be right. We may all be wrong, but we cannot all be right. They, being the ones who have tremendous power and influence in the world, are going to exercise that power in the near future to control our lives. Are you prepared for it? Do you know who or what to believe in? When the supermicrochip is advertised as being the newest method of personal identification, will you know what to do? Pets are already being implanted with a chip for quicker ID. It is the size of a grain of rice. When the entire political, religious and economic system is combined into one world system, that is the New World Order, NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM. Then it's time to pray and get close to God. Look up for you redemption is nigh. You see, by reading your Bible, you can know what the sign of the times is and who to look out for and who to beware of. Beware of those saying:

      Physical things can be invented and matter can be made to do certain tasks, but ideas are from the heart of man. Ideas of how to govern ourselves, what is a priority in life, who's opinion is valid and who's is not, are not always given careful thought. Philosophies can change with the culture but the Bible says there is nothing new under the sun. There then is no new ideas, just the same old ideas coming upon new people. Many people spend more time planning their vacation than they do in planning their career for a lifetime vocation. By giving up our senses to a television set for instance, we destroy our imagination. While someone else claims to be a Messiah and gathers to himself followers, many sit idly by and do nothing until the false philosophy gains enough power to dictate to others how they will live.

      There are many false prophets and false Christs, as prophesied by Jesus Christ in his lifetime, that are all too willing to change the Bible, teach strange doctrines, design our future (without God) and of course set themselves up as the one who should lead us all into the future. All you have to do is pledge allegiance to them and follow, but don't try to lead them or correct them, then it gets to be a debate on who's right and lets just agree to disagree but I don't want your truth. As I stated earlier, truth is up for sale. If you wish to preach, you need an authority to preach from. Many cults use the authority of an individual or books by an individual. That is simply their opinion without any basis in truth. There is only one truth, not two. We could possibly all be wrong but we can not all be right. It's the either-or of philosophy. So, who decides truth? Since my opinion is as valid as yours is or as that of the hijackers of the airplanes of September 11, 2001, how do we determine absolute truth. I could ask questions in a reverse order getting eventually to the basis for truth. If I leap instead to the very first question, hopefully you can stay with me through the transition for full understanding.

      Evolution is so full of holes and lies that it is a blind faith. Creation however is logical and fits with the evidence that is presented about the beginning of the earth and universe. Since creation is logical and provable by facts of science, God must be creator and must therefore be sovereign, having supreme authority. Thus having supreme authority His word is without debate. You are free to disagree but you cannot disprove His word. As an aside, many people who disagree with God and the Bible do so on a moral basis, not on an intellectual basis. His word gives us commands and ideas. The two are distinctly different and we must recognize that fact. When He says to love one another, that is a strong suggestion, so people will know that you are His people. When he says for a man not to lie with another man as he does with a woman, that is not up for debate or translation, it is a command. When He says have no other gods before me, you cannot worship Him and money, sex, power, Ashtaroth, Baal, or any other god that you wish to devise.

      If you do not accept the Bible as authoritative, then what is your authority? Anything written long ago that you believe in is not as authoritative as the Bible. Anything that supercedes the Bible is without authority because the Bible antedates it. If you believe in a book written by a man that is simply his opinion. It is no more valid than anybody's opinion. Anything written in commentary on the Bible or supporting the Bible is not inspired of God, it is not Gods word, therefore without authority. It may be good and right and may add to the understanding of the scriptures but could also be someone's opinion. When people bring their ideas into the Bible and try to make them "fit", the Word is compromised, reduced. If words are taken out of context it is most always a pretense for error. That's why you should read the Bible, not books about the Bible. Back to the idea of accepting someone's opinion, if you say your opinion has more authority than the Bible, then you must say equally that the hijackers of 9-11-2001 had their opinion and it was right for them. Why should your neighbor be wrong and you are the only one that is right? In some countries they love their neighbors, and in others they eat them. What is your authority? Do you think it is right? That's not good enough for a universal truth. Because an ancient religion has always believed it. Again, that is just tradition, not authority. God has to be the only authority and His Bible the only written word that is valid for truth. You can test all things against it. It is just and true for ALL mankind. It holds the same truth for you as it does for all men. That is why man does not like the Bible and God. They can't live up to His standards so they have to hide. I can't live up to His standards either, I never have, probably never will. But, I have a redeemer. One who battles for me, one who talks for me, one who bought for me what I could not buy on my own.

      Remember, The Bible is not on trial, you are! . . .and you will be. We will all stand before Him someday. You don't have to stand alone. If you confess the name of Jesus before man, He will confess your name before the Father. If you deny Him, He will deny you.

      If you accept the sovereignty of God and the authority of the Bible, there is no other thing to do but to submit to that authority and sovereignty, which lends itself to no compromise in lifestyle. Since Gods word is perfect and without fault, we must therefore be at fault when we are opposed to it. That opposition to the Bible and thus God is called sin. Sin is from Satan who is opposed to God also. When we sin we are siding with Satan against God. It was that way in the beginning and will be until the consummation of all things. You see there is nothing new under the sun. Sin is the wedge driven between God and man. Since we all sin and we of ourselves have no way of removing that sin, much like a duck in an oil-spill, we must have a helper or redeemer to get us from where we are to where we want to go, to be with God.

      There is no other religion in the world (except Christianity) that has a savior! There is no other religion in the world that has a way to eliminate or remove sin completely. Most other religions have works as their method of getting rid of sin. We cannot give God anything, since He owns it all anyway. What can we do for God? We can't give enough money! We cannot do good deeds to achieve perfection, which is what we need to be in the presence of a perfect creator. Since God is perfect and sin separates us from God, how do we get there from here?

      Dr. Samuel Gipp puts it thus, Satan is the great counterfeiter. For every genuine manifestation of God, Satan produces hundreds of carbon copies. Look at the record:

One Gospel		many "ways to heaven"
One following, Christianity		many religions, denominations, cults
One Bible		Many Bible versions, none the same!

       Jesus Christ is the only way, the only savior, and the only kinsman redeemer. He is our kinsman, being born as a man from Mary, yet being from God by the power of the Holy Spirit overshadowing her. Being the God-man He is able (and willing) to reconcile us to the one true God of the universe. Where else can you go? Everything else is a lie!       Are all those other religions in the world and all those other people going to hell or what ever you think is the place where they go who oppose God? I only offer what is in the Bible, not my opinion. Jesus Christ, while on earth, said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes unto the Father except by me". I don't have to add my opinion because even a first grader can understand the above statement.

      Now the choice is yours. Would you like to receive this free gift? It only takes a moment. You only have to say, "Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins, I accept you as my savior and my Lord. Please come into my heart and save me and make me the kind of person you want me to be." If you will pray that prayer from your heart, then you are assured of salvation. For the Bible says:

  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:9-10

      Too easy you say? Why would God make it so hard that only the tough make it? Why would God make it so intellectual that only the higher educated would make it? God says "whosever will, will be saved" that makes it a level playing field for every man, woman and child. Yes, even children can be saved. Jesus said that unless you receive the kingdom of God as a little child, you shall not enter therein. How would a child receive the kingdom of God? At face value, with no baggage or predetermined ideas, no traditions, no contrary science.

      So now maybe you have seen the set up that has been done to cause man to stumble. The snares set out by Satan to lead people astray, to confuse them about which Bible to trust, cause them to distrust all churches, to make them doubt that God created all things. There is nothing new under the sun. He did it in the Garden of Eden and he is doing it today. He first asked, "Yea, hath God said . . .? " He tried to tempt the Son of God, why would he not want to tempt the whole of mankind to turn their back on God. I believe he knows the end is near and also that he is going to lose the final round. He wants as many to go with him into the lake of fire as possible. Don't let him rob you of your eternity with God. Don't let him take your family to hell while you sit by and watch. Are you going to preach to all of your friends and neighbors or just watch them go to hell? Talk to them, lovingly get them to discuss where they expect to spend eternity. Remember:

 Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4
