Christmas is not Scriptural!
The Bible is silent about Jesus' birthdate. Celebrating it was foreign to early Christians. The pagan holiday Mithraism [December 25], Saturnalia and Juvenalia were celebrations by the idolatrist Romans. Constantine declared Christianity to be the official religion of Rome, This was the Roman Catholic Church. Pagans who joined the church were allowed to keep their pagan holidays.
It was named the Mass of Christ or Christmas!
In 320 AD, Pope Julius I decided that Christ was born on December 25th. He decided when Christ was born!
. . .they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Timothy 4: 4).
When you add a lie to the truth, Do you still have the truth?
How many Commandments are Violated by celebrating Christmas?
You shall have no other gods before Me.
Placing Santa on the same level as Christ.
You shall not take the name of your Lord in vain
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor
By Christianizing a pagan holiday you are certainly taking His name in vain and lying about Him.
You shall not make for yourself any graven image
Nativity scenes and Mary-Jesus statues are everywhere.
You shall not covet your neighbor's goods
Children are told to make a list of their wants, creating greed.
You shall not commit adultery
Christmas parties promote drunkenness, lust and immorality
6 out of 10 Commandments.
1 Sin that is not forgiven is enough to keep you from GOD.
If you think the birthday of Jesus is important and God seems to indicate otherwise, who`s right?
You are always righteous, O LORD. . . .Jeremiah 12:1
The Bible says not to worship Idols or other gods. If Satan can divert your worship from Jesus, He wins.
How many have made Santa an idol?
Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.. . . . . 2 Corinthians 11:14
God has made it as simple as He can to us.
. .Were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. . . . Psalms 106:35
. .do not learn the ways of the nations there". . . . . . . . . Deuteronomy 18:9
When you know that Christmas was adapted from a worship of pagan gods, how does that make you feel? Just imagine your children calling your neighbor "Mom" or "Dad" right in front of you! And saying I really like you folks but these other people are more popular. Don't you think God is stirred to anger when He sees such twisted worship and deceptive sayings among His people.
"Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven. . . I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'. . Matthew 7:21
